HOW To for Marketplace Health Insurance Applications and Glitches:
To choose me as your agent you need to call me for my ID and NPN number to put on your policy applications once you get eligibility! (Cell 815-980-7779 for ID and NPN)
Firstly go to the healthcare.gov
Click on individual/family
1. Choose your State ie. IL
2. Register and make your marketplace account
3.choose your ID the way they want
4. choose your password
5. pick the questions and write down your answers so you don't forget
6. Wait for an e mail to verify your marketplace account
7. It may take some time for the marketplace to send the email
8. They will ask you a bunch of questions and answer them honestly
You may be eligible for refund that goes toward part or all of your insurance.
Your eligibility will be determined by the marketplace and I will assist you with this.
9. You will be presented with many insurance companies and don't be afraid
to pick branded companies like the one you had. They will present you with
Metals plans:Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum
Choose the Silver first and if your eligible for refund it goes toward the plan
And you will pay the difference. This is when it may get complicated!
Pick the more expensive Silver PLUS plan over the silver if you get refund
Eligibility as it covers you more and the extra cost of a lower deductible may
Give you more office visits and etc. call me if you have any questions.
GLITCHES: WHEN YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH :
healthcare.gov and as you probably found out if you have error problems in logging on in the verification page like I did here are some helpful hints:
You can call marketplace and they can do an on phone application or
you can go directly to the web site below for the written forms to download them yourself pdf !
1. click link on this site at bottom left "Get Official Resources"
2. click link "Publications & Articles and click to right View More"
3. Form page will come up with pdf on individual and family.
Choose the form that applies to you probably family pdf application OR Individual pdf
Fill it out and mail it in snail mail!
They will send back to you verification of your eligibility and a list of eligible insurance company policies and metals by e mail and you can access them online and find out whether you are eligible for medicaid or refund and your options!
You can then fill it out online or by phone or mail it in.
I know this sounds full of glitches and time dependent but it is the only way our government is dealing with these problems until the web site healthcare.gov is fixed!
I hope this helps as I know you need your policy now and it can take up to 3 weeks for the process or so they say!
